Honors Student Rhea Cardwell earns national volleyball honors

One day after earning first-team all-conference honors, senior Rhea Cardwell was named Tuesday as the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II National Player of the Week for Nov. 10-16 on the strength of her strong performances in the Seawolves’ two season-ending road matches. Cardwell becomes the first Seawolf ever to win the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s weekly honor.

Spend Spring Semester in Washington DC - Full Scholarships Available.

hrough The Washington Center, UAA students can participate in semester-long academic internships in Washington, D.C. for credit. The fifteen-week program provides tailored internships that match the students’ academic, personal, and professional interests. The scholarship covers the program fee, housing, roundtrip air travel, and a living expense allowance.  Three full scholarships are available for students from Alaska for Spring 2009.  The application deadline is has been extended to December 3.  For application materials, visit the website.  If you have any questions, contact Marian Mitchell
